Gypsum or POP, which is better for Kerala homes?
Gypsum is the modern default in Thrissur. Lighter, faster to install, smoother seamless finish, fully fire resistant and easier to repair. POP is preferred when you want intricate moulded cornices, traditional Kerala detailing or curved decorative work, since it can be cast in any shape. We help you choose based on the design you want during the site visit.
Is PVC false ceiling safe in Thrissur humidity and rain?
Yes. PVC is fully water resistant, insect proof and well suited to coastal Kerala humidity. We recommend it for kitchens, bathrooms, balconies, shop and salon ceilings, and any space prone to moisture. The panels stay rigid and do not develop fungal growth like timber or unsealed POP can.
Will a false ceiling lower the room height too much?
A standard suspended ceiling drops the height by 4 to 5 inches. For tray and cove designs we plan the framing so only the cove portion drops further, keeping most of the ceiling at full height. Rooms below 9 ft slab to slab can usually still take a tray ceiling without feeling cramped.

Can you integrate cove lighting and downlights as part of the work?
Yes. Cove lighting with concealed warm white or tunable LED strips, recessed downlights, pendant mounts and AC duct covers are all part of our standard scope. We coordinate the wiring and cutouts as the ceiling is being built so the final electrical work is clean and hidden.
How do I maintain a false ceiling?
Modern gypsum and PVC ceilings need almost no maintenance, just occasional dusting. Repaint every 4 to 5 years for fresh look. Tropical humidity, water leakage from above and termite activity are the main risks, which we mitigate with proper framing height, primer and treated timber where applicable.
Can you remove an existing damaged ceiling and redo it?
Yes. We carefully dismantle the existing ceiling, salvage usable lighting, dispose of waste and rebuild with new materials. Quoted as a separate line item so you can see the dismantling cost.
Do you offer custom or designer false ceiling designs?
Yes. We share a free 3D design within 48 hours of the site visit, with at least two layout options. You can request changes till you are happy with the look. The 3D file is yours to keep even if you do not proceed.
What does the 1 year service cover include?
Free callouts in the first year for any hairline cracking, sagging, alignment issue or paint touch up at the joints. Damage from water leakage, structural settlement or third party renovation is excluded. From year two we offer optional AMC at a nominal annual fee.
